Score
Composer’s note
In Ad Cœlos, the composer tries to grasp a chunk of heavenly harmony. He is taking us on a journey filled with emotions, a struggle for beauty, and unanswered questions, while pointing toward the ethereal, elusive, yet rewarding divine goal. The piece contains bright, warm harmonies washed in the sound of angelic flageolets and arpeggios and dance-like rhythm. In the contrast there are parts based on percussive knocking with fierce energy. There are moments of happiness and tranquility, but there are episodes of anxiety and melancholy. All that lies in the human nature on the road to the heavens. Piece was commissioned by Polish Harp Society for their 10thanniversary.

Composer’s Note
Children love adventures. But sometimes chance needs some help and one has to take care of interesting events by yourself. With little amount of imagination a common stick may become magic wand, a bicycle – racing car, and grandfather’s attic – it can be magic country waiting for bravemen to reveal its mistery closed in the big box full with treasures.
Music found there seem to be great opus, but with time it becomes clearer, that among the score some random sheets had mixed…

Lyrics by Rabindranath Tagore
I dive down into the depth of the ocean of forms,
hoping to gain the perfect pearl of the formless.
No more sailing from harbor to harbor with this my weather-beaten boat.
The days are long passed when my sport was to be tossed on waves.
And now I am eager to die into the deathless.
Into the audience hall by the fathomless abyss
where swells up the music of toneless strings
I shall take this harp of my life.
I shall tune it to the notes of forever,
and when it has sobbed out its last utterance,
lay down my silent harp at the feet of the silent.
Mouvements: Bóg się rodzi / Mizerna cicha / Hej nam, hej!
